To be an artist means learning to accept that your artwork writes its own rules. 

To be an artist means searching for different possibilities of meaning.

To be an artist is to reflect your own reality. 

To be an artist is to recognise the value of your own fragments of ideas.

To be an artist is to be brave. 

To be an artist is to be stupid.

To be an artist is having 4 legs, 8 arms, 160 fingers, 7 giant ears, as well as an extra set of eyes on the back of the head.

To be an artist is to have the absorbing ability of a giant sponge.

To be an artist is dreaming.

To be an artist is to find pleasure in the conflicted. 

To be an artist is to discover beauty in that which repulses you.

To be an artist is to be delirious. 

To be an artist is to be immensely privileged. 

To be an artist is to be a bit screwed.

To be an artist is to be searching for the perfect form in the hopes of never finding it.

To be an artist is to be an opportunist whilst striving for authenticity.

To be an artist is making yourself vulnerable even though you are extremely sensitive.

To be an artist is to try and put your own ego aside in the name of creation. 

To be an artist is to create a close bond between the exterior and the introspective.

To be an artist is to be an individualist with the ability to think collectively.

To be an artist is the constant challenge of believing in yourself, even though you might be the only one to do so.

To be an artist should be a complete rejection of anything superficial. 

To be an artist is both the best and the worst idea you could have.
